Bhubaneswar: ‘FIH Odisha Men’s Hockey World Cup – 2023’ celebrations will be held on Wednesday at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack. Today DGP Sunil Kumar Bansal reviewed the security arrangement for the World cup Hockey celebrations with Additional DG of Police (Law & Order), Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, Additional Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, DCP Cuttack.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made with additional 42 platoons of force, 4 DC/ ASP,12 DSP/ AC, 25 Inspector, 120 ASI along with existing manpower of UPD Cuttack to ensure peaceful and smooth celebration of the event.
Further in view of ‘FIH Odisha Men’s Hockey World Cup – 2023’ match to be held at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar from 13.01.2023 to 29.01.2023, elaborate security arrangements for players and different teams have been made with additional 30 platoons of force, 11 DC/ ASP, 30 DSP/ AC, 50 Inspector, 250 SI/ASI along with existing
man power of UPD Bhubaneswar at stadium, hotels etc to ensure peaceful and smooth conduct of different matches at Bhubaneswar.
Simultaneously in view of matches to be held at Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium, Rourkela similar security arrangements have also been made with additional 40 platoons of force,02 SP/ Commdt., 08 DC/ ASP, 15 DSP/AC, 40 Inspector, 250 SI/ASI along with existing man power of Rourkela district at stadium and place of stay etc to ensure peaceful and smooth conduct of different matches at Rourkela.
