Bhubaneswar: The much-awaited 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2025 is going to start in the state capital Bhubaneswar in two days. In view of this, the state Director General of Police (DGP), Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, reviewed the security arrangements on Sunday.
On this occasion, DGP Khurania discussed various issues with senior officers. Along with this, the DGP has directed to keep a special eye on the security arrangements to ensure that there is no lapse in the security arrangements under any circumstances.
The 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is going to be held at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar for three days from the January 8 to 10. To organise and manage it in an orderly and smooth manner, the DGP himself visited various places today and reviewed the security arrangements. He reviewed the security arrangements at the venue of Janata Maidan, accommodation of NRIs, traffic management, appropriate plans and strategies to avoid unpleasant situations, etc. The DGP held detailed discussions with other senior officers regarding the security arrangements for VIPs, police department preparedness, management, deployment of police force, traffic management, and vehicle parking areas.
Commissioner of Police Debdutt Singh, IG Anup Sahu, Additional Commissioner of Police Umashankar Dash, DCP Pinak Mishra and other senior police officers were present.
