Bhubaneswar: With the temporary road connecting the Dhabaleswar temple in Athagarh of Odisha’s Cuttack district being washed away following a surge of water in the Mahanadi River, devotees from various parts of the state as well as outside are unable to get the darshan of Lord Dhabaleswar since the last few days.
The authorities had earlier closed the suspension bridge connecting the temple was closed for the people after it developed cracks. A temporary bridge was constructed over the Mahanadi River on January 11 this year to enable devotees to visit the temple. Now, the damage caused to the temporary road has made the Dhhabaleswar temple virtually inaccessible. According to reports, many frustrated devotees are returning home without the darshan of Lord Dhabaleswar.
