Dhala Samanta brothers, Susanta and Sushil were produced in the SDJM court, Cuttack today.
Sushil was brought from Balasore jail, whereas Sushanta was brought from Jharpada jail, Bhubaneswar. Initially, Sushil was to be produced in the court through video conferencing, but due to technical difficulties, he was produced in person.
” A total number of 19 cases were brought up, out of which 17 were already chargesheeted. But there were no chargesheets filed for the Dipu murder case and the tender fixing case yet,” said Prasanna Mohanty, their defence lawyer.
Ten associates of the Dhala brothers were produced in the court through video conferencing. Both the brothers were taken back to their respective jails amidst tight security.
The next hearing on this case would be on 21st June, added Mohanty.
