Bhubaneswar: The BJP has named deceased MLA and senior party leader Bishnu Sethi’s son Suryabanshi Suraj as the party’s candidate for Dhamnagar bypoll. The Dhamnagar bypoll was necessitated following the death of Sethi on September 19. He was undergoing treatment at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.
In an order signed by National General Secretary Arun Singh, BJP announced the name of Sethi’s son Suryabanshi Suraj as the party’s candidate for the upcoming bypolls. Voting for Dhamnagar bypolls will be held on November 3 and counting of votes on November 6, the Election Commission of India informed on Saturday.
