Bhubaneswar: Renowned actor Satyanarayan Podha, known for his iconic role as Nandaraja in Bargarh Dhanu Yatra, passed away on Wednesday night. He was 70.
According to reports, Podha suffered a heart attack late night and was taken to a private hospital, where he was died while undergoing treatment.
Podha had been performing the role of Nandaraja for over 20 years, following in the footsteps of his father, Basudev Podha, who originally played the character.
His demise has been met with widespread grief in the Dhanuyatra community and beyond.
