Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi met his probable Cabinet ministers and MPs including three from Odisha, Dharmendra Pradhan, Ashwini Vaishnaw and Jual Oram, ahead of the oath-taking ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhavan at 7:15 pm today.
Dharmendra Pradhan had held different portfolios in the first and second term of Narendra Modi government. Pradhan has been elected to Lok Sabha from Sambalpur constituency in just concluded elections.
Aswini Vaishnaw was the Railway and IT minister in the Modi cabinet. He is likely to get a cabinet berth in the third term of Narendra Modi as PM.
Jual Oram, a five-time Member of Parliament had held India’s first Tribal Affairs ministry under the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government in 1999. Oram had also been given the same portfolio in Modi’s first term.
The Modi 3.0 Cabinet also includes veteran leaders including Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitharaman, S Jaishankar, Piyush Goyal, Hardeep Singh Puri and Nitin Gadkari. All of them participated in the meeting over a cuppa at Modi’s residence.
