Dhenkanal: The famous and age-old Ganjalakshmi Puja organised in Dhenkanal town has commenced. From Sunday onwards, Maa Gajalaxmi is being worshipped at 38 Mandaps in the city.
The people of Dhenkanal and adjoining districts are excited as the puja is being organised with people, after a hiatus of two years following the COVID restrictions.
After two years of Covid lockdown, this year puja is being celebrated with grandeur. Lakhs of devotees are expected to congregate in the twon everday for darshan, so elaborate arrangements have been made towards security, law and order, SP, Loganayagi Divya V said.
Total 23 platoons of police force have been deputed to guard the city, while there are 2 additional SPs, 5 DSPs, 17 inspectors, 98 SIs and ASIs, will monitor the situation, led by the SP.
