Cuttack: The diarrhoea outbreak that initially affected Jajpur district has now spread to Cuttack and Dhenkanal districts. While the situation in Jajpur is showing signs of improvement, the neighbouring districts are grappling with a rising number of cases.
In Banki, Gholapur village, 26 people are currently suffering from diarrhoea, with some being treated at Athagarh hospital, Subarnapur Communisty Health Centre in Cuttack.
Similarly, in Dhenkanal district, around 30 cases have been detected, with many patients being admitted to Bhubaneswar Community Health Centre and the Dhenkanal District Headquarters Hospital.
A central team visited Jajpur today to assess the situation, meeting with the Collector and senior health officials. Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling also visited the district, met with patients at the hospital, and discussed the situation with the central team.
The government is working to contain the outbreak and provide medical assistance to those affected. The situation is being closely monitored, and efforts are underway to prevent further spread of the disease.
