Bhubaneswar: ‘Senrra’, a collection of short stories by Dileswar Rana has been selected for the ‘Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar 2023’ in Odia.
According to an official press release of the Sahitya Akademi, the book was selected based on a recommendation made by the Jury comprising Bibhuti Patnaik, Gobinda Chandra Chand and Dash Benhur.
The book was selected unanimously, the release added.
The Award relates to a book published by an author of the age of 35 and below as of 1st January of the year of the award.
The Award in the form of a casket contains an engraved copper plaque and a cheque of Rs 50,000.
The Award will be presented to the awardee at a special function to be held at a later date, the release added.
