Cuttack: Bikash Swain from Niali was waiting for the results of CHSE Supplementary Exam with thousands like him but the outcome has brought dilemma rather than happiness.
Bikash had appeared for the exam from Sithalo Nodal High School. The results published by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) yesterday shows gross discrepancies in his result sheet.
The subjective section Science was a test of 30 marks in which Bikash has scored a 42. His mark sheet also shows a zero in Hindi, which the student alleges is not possible.
Bikash is the youngest son of four siblings and comes from an impoverished family. With limited financial means, getting Bikash educated is of paramount importance to them. The young student fears that he might miss out on getting admission into +2 colleges due to the discrepancies.
His neighbour Deepak Kumar Pradhan also pleaded that the board and the Government consider his plight and rectify the error in the results.
