Dismissed MARKFED Area Manager Arrested For Embezzeling Rs 9.66 Lakh

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday arrested a former In-Charge Area Manager of MARKFED, Boudh Bhuban Mohan Dash for alleged misappropriation of Rs 9,66,000 in respect of procurement of niger and turmeric seeds.

According to an official press release, Dash was arrested by a team of the Vigilance on the strength of Non Bailable Warrant (NBW) issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Phulbani from Balianta, Bhubaneswar.

During the last three months, Dash kept changing locations by changing mobile SIMs. He was dismissed from service since 2006.

A team of the Vigilance kept a close watch over the movement and activities of Dash through mobile tracking system.

Finally, Dash was nabbed from Balianta by a team of the Vigilance.

Odisha Vigilance has launched a special drive to nab absconding public/Government servants who are evading the process of law. Multiple teams have been formed and raids are being conducted after collecting inputs of suspected whereabouts of the absconders.
