**Nayagarh**: In what could be termed as divine justice, the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) of Nayagarh has directed a minor rape accused to sweep the floor of village temple for a year.
“The accused, who had raped a minor girl at Itamati village along with two others, was asked to clean the temple daily,” informed Biseswar Biswaprakash Roy, a public prosecutor of JJB.
Pronouncing the judgement, a first-of-its-kind in the district, the JJB public prosecutor has also directed the District Child Protection Officer to report whether the boy is doing his duty properly or not.
Notably, the Special Track Court here has already sentenced two other adult accused to 10 years of jail term.
Notably on September 11, 2011, on the occasion of Ganesh Puja, Sourav Kumar Bisoi alias Pupuli and Shyamsundar Rout alias Nepali along with the minor boy had kidnapped the girl, a class X student of Itamati Saraswati Sisu Mandir and raped her at Dudhiajhar area under Bolgarh block of the district.
