Bhubaneswar: Keeping in view the COVID-19 situation, Odisha Government has arranged live telecast of Snana Yatra ritual of Lord Jagannath and his siblings to be held tomorrow through Doordarshan, said an official press release issued today.
The telecast will be available on other TV Channels and Social Media, the press release added.
The press release stated that Information & Public Relations Department will ensure smooth live-telecast of the divine occasion.
As lockdown is in force for COVID-19, all the rituals and ‘Neetis’ will be observed as per the guideline issued by the government, the press release said.
As per the guidelines issued for the Unlock-1.0 entry of the public is not allowed in religious shrines and the congregation of more than 7 persons is not permissible in public places.
This year Snana Yatra ritual of the Lords will be held in absence of devotees with a limited number of sevayats (servitors) and officials as a safety measure in view of the highly contagious COVID-19 outbreak and the on-going lockdown which prohibits congregations to contain it.
