Bhubaneswar: The Housing and Urban Development Minister, Dr Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, informed the assembly that the department is taking necessary measures to review the Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) of the five major storm water drain projects in Cuttack as per the High Court’s order.
The Minister’s reply came in response to a question by Sofia Firdous regarding the status of the projects. He stated that there is no delay in the process and further steps will be taken after receiving the revetted DPRs from IIT Bhubaneswar.
To address waterlogging issues, the government has released Rs 4 crore for preparing a drainage master plan for Cuttack. Short-term measures are also being taken by the Cuttack Municipal Corporation to drain rainwater from vulnerable locations.
