Mayurbhanj: A rare incident occurred in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district where a teacher named Daitari Bindhani was robbed while he was away for medical work in Balasore.
Thieves broke into his home in Udala NAC’s Ward No. 4 and stole cash worth Rs 13,600 in cash, 10-12 grams of gold, and silver ornaments.
The robbery was captured on CCTV. The thieves broke the main door lock and used sarees to hide their identities. They covered the cameras with sarees and then opened a locked cabinet to take the valuables. When Bindhani returned home on Monday morning, he found the door and cabinet open and everything missing.
He reported the incident to the police, who have started an investigation. The thieves also damaged a CCTV camera outside the house.
