Bhubaneswar: A driver of a trailer truck was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside the cabin of the vehicle on Biju Expressway near Gangajal bus stand under Kutra police limits in Sundargarh.
The deceased’s identity is yet to be ascertained. The driver’s body bore deep injuries on the left thigh. It is being suspected that miscreants might have attacked the driver with sharp weapons to loot money from him.
The driver might have died due to excess bleeding, reports stated. On being informed, police reached the spot and launched a probe into the incident.
As per preliminary investigation, the trailer was carrying iron ores from Koida to somewhere yesterday night. The vehicle had crossed a toll gate at Ramabahal at around 11 pm yesterday, said a police officer.
Forensic team has reached the spot to investigate further.
