Bhubaneswar: One person was killed as a car overturned after hitting a tree near Jakeikala village under Bonaigarh police limits in Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Sunday late night.
According to reports, the driver of a car lost the balance on the wheels and the vehicle overturned after hitting a roadside tree. The driver, who has been identified as Muralidhar Sahu, was killed in the accident.
Muralidhar reportedly went to watch a theatre and met with the accident while returning home on Sunday night.
Local people rushed to the accident spot after hearing the bang, pulled out Muralidhar and took him to the sub-district hospital in an ambulance. However, the doctors at the hospital declared him dead. The police have launched an investigation to ascertain the reason leading to the accident.
