Bhubaneswar: A truck driver was trapped in the bonnet for over four hours after his vehicle collided head-on with another truck at Charbati Square under Rerakhol police limits in Sambalpur district on Wednesday.
The driver of a container was trapped inside the mangled remains of the heavy vehicle for four hours after a truck hit another truck which was parked on the roadside. The accident took place in the wee hours of Wednesday.
Locals immediately alerted the fire brigade and police who rushed to the spot with a JCB and gas cutter to rescue the driver.
Till the last report came in, rescue operations were still being carried out for the driver.
