Puri: A huge drone in the shape of an aircraft was found by the fishermen during fishing in the Bay of Bengal in Puri on Tuesday.
The drone got trapped in the fishing net of the fisherfolk while they were fishing in the sea mouth at Baliharachandi in Puri.
The drone was submerged in water while it got entangled in the net. The fishermen recovered it and brought it to the shore at Penthakata. Locals and tourists flocked to the spot to see the drone.
According to reports, the drone is equipped with various devices. It is not known whether the devices are functional or not.
The details regarding the flyer remain unclear.
‘SHIKRA’ was written on both sides wings of the drone which was red and yellow in colours. It is suspected that the drone plunged into the water while it was being used by the defence establishment.
