Drunk Man Beats Wife To Death

Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly killed his wife following a domestic dispute in Manda village under Jashipur police station in Mayurbhanj district, on Saturday.

The accused has been identified as Mukhtiar Naik, who was reportedly in an inebriated state at the time of the incident. He has been arrested by Jashipur police. The deceased has been identified as Bilasi Naik.

According to reports, a heated argument broke out between the couple, which escalated into violence. In a fit of rage, Mukhtiar allegedly assaulted his wife, resulting in her death.

Upon receiving information, personnel from Jashipur police station rushed to the spot and arrested the accused. The body of the deceased was sent for post-mortem and a case has been registered.

A scientific investigation team has also reached the site to collect forensic evidence.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
