Berhampur: A teacher allegedly entered another school in an inebriated condition and beat and injured several students there at Dengaskhal village in Mohana block of Gajapati district on Thursday.
The teacher identified as Jagdishwar Behera of Ludiguda Upper Primary School under Guluba panchayat had entered the Govt U.G. High School, Dengaskhal yesterday afternoon and attacked the students.
When the teachers of the school rushed to the rescue of the students, Behera also attacked them.
Seventeen children were injured in the attack and have been admitted to Adava Primary Health Center for treatment. Parents and teachers have filed a complaint against the drunk teacher at Adava Police Station.
