Dry Weather To Prevail In Odisha; Light Rain Likely On Nov 21 & 22

Bhubaneswar: With the threat of cyclonic storm ‘Midhili’ over, dry weather prevailed over the districts of Odisha during the last 24 hours. The minimum temperatures (night temperatures) observed marked rise at one or two places over the districts of south interior Odisha, while no major change was observed elsewhere over the districts of Odisha. They were below normal at one or two places over the districts of interior Odisha, appreciably above normal at many places over the districts of interior Odisha, and at a few places over the districts of coastal Odisha, and above normal at many places over the districts of coastal Odisha.

The highest maximum temperature of 34.0°C was recorded at Malkangiri and the lowest minimum temperature of 15.5°C was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha.

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Day 2: (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 20.11.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 21.11.2023)

Light to moderate rain/ thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Day 3: (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 21.11.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 22.11.2023)

Light to moderate rain/ thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, and one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Cuttack, Nabarangpur, and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Day 4: (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 22.11.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 23.11.2023)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Day 5: (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 23.11.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 24.11.2023)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Day 6: (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 24.11.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 25.11.2023)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Day 7: (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 25.11.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 26.11.2023)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Temperature Forecast: No large change in minimum temperature (night temperature) during the next 3-4 days and gradually fall by 2-4 C at many places over the districts of Odisha thereafter.
