Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister KV Singh Deo today chaired a crucial meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan where Titilagarh MLA Naveen Kumar Jain and Khandpada MLA Dusmant Kumar proposed setting up 132/33 KV and 220/33 KV grid substations in Titilagarh and Khandpada, respectively.
This initiative aims to address electricity issues and low-voltage problems plaguing the local residents.
In the meeting, senior officers of OPTCL and Tata Power expressed their views on the matter.
At present more than 20 grid substations are being installed in the state. Out of these 11 grids have been completed and will be operational soon.
In the meeting, Minister Singh Deo said that the government is always trying to solve the electricity problems of the people. Discussion is in progress with both OPTCL and Tata Power regarding the matter. The deputy chief minister discussed with the officials about connecting the adjacent grid to provide uninterrupted power service to the people of Titilagarh and Khandpada.
Notably, the grid sub-station is about to be completed at Daspalla while the proposal for a grid at Hatabasta is going to be executed soon.
In the meeting, Principal Secretary of Energy Department Hemant Kumar Sharma, senior officials of OPTCL and Tata Power were present.
