Dy CM KV Singh Deo Reviews Agricultural Activities In Mayurbhanj District

Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister and Minister Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment (A&FE) and Energy KV Singhdeo on Saturday held reviewed activities concerning Agriculture and Horticulture in Mayurbhanj district.

According to an official press release, this review meeting conducted by the Chief District Agriculture Officer gave a detailed report on all agricultural activities in the district till date. Apart from inquiring about all agricultural work, the Deputy Chief Minister monitored all related departmental works of the department. In this context, the Deputy Chief Minister inquired about the various schemes for agriculture and farmers their implementation and the revenue utilized for their profitability.

He directed the officers to complete all works sanctioned by the department immediately submit reports to the departmental headquarters and expedite work for future planning and action.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that Mayurbhanj is a tribal-dominated district and is famous for its traditional farming. The government is committed to providing all types of assistance to take it forward, he added.

The Deputy CM directed expediting rural electrification, long pending electrification works and resolving issues like untimely power cuts, etc.

Balasore MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Mayurbhanj MP Naba Charan Majhi, Housing & Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra,  Badasahi MLA Sanatan Bijuli, Baripada MLA Prakash Soren, Bangiriposi MLA Sanjali Murmu, Saraskana MLA Bhadab Hansda, Rairangpur MLA Jalen Nayak, Udala MLA Bhaskar Chandra Madhei, Director Agriculture Prem Chandra Chaudhary, Mayurbhanj Collector Dattatreya Bhausaheb Shinde, TPNODL CEO Bijay Das Basak and senior officials of Energy Department attended the meeting.
