New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo on Monday visited the Odisha Pavilion at the 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, appreciating the state’s handicrafts, agricultural produce, and investment potential.
Singh Deo said the pavilion reflects the collaborative vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives—Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat and Atmanirbhar Bharat—along with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s Odisha Vision 2036.
“Odisha, known globally for its handicrafts, is emerging as a strong investment destination. The pavilion showcases opportunities that can generate employment across sectors—from rural handicrafts and agricultural products to industrial development,” he said.
During his visit, the Deputy Chief Minister interacted with rural artisans and entrepreneurs participating in the fair, encouraging them to expand their businesses and explore new opportunities. He highly appreciated the artworks, handicrafts, and other products displayed at the pavilion.
On the fourth day of the fair, Singh Deo also visited the Ministry of Power Pavilion to learn about power generation projects and the use of modern and renewable energy technologies as alternatives to hydroelectric power. He inquired about innovations in green energy and renewable energy sources being adopted across India.
The Deputy Chief Minister further visited the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Pavilion, interacting with agricultural experts and farmers from various states. He praised their innovative practices and stressed the importance of modern technology in boosting agricultural productivity.
Apart from Deputy Chief Minister Singh Deo, Anurag Bajpai, Additional Chief Secretary of Manipur, also visited the Odisha Pavilion and appreciated its attractive layout, decorations, and the wide array of agricultural produce and handicrafts created by local artisans.
The Odisha Pavilion continues to draw attention at IITF 2025 for blending cultural heritage with investment opportunities, highlighting the state’s roadmap for sustainable growth and employment generation.
