Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister Parvati Parida today announced that women who have not received benefits under the Subhadra Yojana due to NPCI errors should visit their banks to resolve the issue.
To address this, banks will prioritize resolving NPCI issues for these women on January 29 and 30. Approximately 3.31 lakh beneficiaries have been affected by NPCI-related problems, Parida said.
“We have requested the banks to hold a two-day special drive on January 29 and 30 to resolve NPCI issues of Subhadra applicants, and all necessary arrangements have been made at the banks for the beneficiaries to get their problems solved,” Parida added.
The Subhadra Yojana aims to provide Rs. 10,000 annually to over one crore women in the state for five years. So far, more than 80 lakh women beneficiaries have received the first installment, with the remaining eligible beneficiaries expected to receive the payment in the coming days. The second installment will be disbursed on March 8, International Women’s Day.
Launched on September 17 last year, the Subhadra Yojana has already seen significant progress, with over 95 lakh women registered as of January 28. The state government aims to register one crore women beneficiaries under the scheme.
