Jharsuguda: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Sunday handed over land titles to 120 landless families under the Vasundhara Yojana at a programme held in Jharsuguda district.
The District Collector of Jharsuguda had identified 804 landless families from Jharsuguda and Lakhanpur Tehsils as beneficiaries and out of them, 120 families were given land titles today. According to reports, landless families residing in the mining belts of Jharsuguda and Lakhanpur Tehsil were given land titles.
Deputy Chief Minister Parida, Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, District Collector Aboli Sunil Narvane, Deputy District Collector Sabyasachi Panda, and Additional District Collector Kishore Chandra Swain were present in this programme.
Distribution of land titles to the remaining beneficiaries will be completed by the end of next December.
