Bhubaneswar: In a significant step towards improving child welfare services in Odisha, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida launched the Amari Shishu web portal (www.aamarisishu.odisha.gov.in) at the State Women and Children’s Institute in Bhubaneswar.
The portal aims to strengthen care, protection, and rehabilitation services for children by facilitating smooth coordination between various stakeholders, including the Child Protection Unit, Child Welfare Committees, Juvenile Justice Boards, and Child Care Institutions.
The Amari Shishu portal will enable accurate tracking of child health and nutrition through digitally updated data, improving the working style of the child welfare, child nutrition, and child protection sectors in the state. The portal will also maintain coordination with the Nutrition Tracker and Child Helpline Line No. 1098, ensuring seamless support for children in need.
The portal will provide updated information on schemes like Mission Vatsalya, Yashoda, and Ashirbad, keeping the public informed about government initiatives. With digitally updated data, child health and nutrition can be accurately tracked, enabling informed decisions and targeted interventions.
The launch event was attended by Principal Secretary Shubha Sharma, Director Monisha Banerjee, departmental officers, Anganwadi workers, and helpers.
