Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced temporary cancellation, short-termination and short-origination of several train services in view of ongoing safety-related modernisation works between Khurda Road and Palasa under the Khurda Road Division. The changes will remain in effect till 24 September 2025.
According to an official release, the following train services will be affected:
Cancelled Trains:
- Train No. 68419 Bhubaneswar–Palasa MEMU Passenger: Cancelled on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Wednesday.
- Train No. 68420 Palasa–Bhubaneswar MEMU Passenger: Cancelled on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
- Train No. 68411/412 Bhubaneswar–Brahmapur–Bhubaneswar MEMU Passenger: Cancelled on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Wednesday.
Short-Termination/Short-Origination of Trains:
- Train No. 68445 Cuttack–Palasa MEMU: To be short-terminated at Ichhapuram on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Wednesday.
- Train No. 68434 Gunupur–Cuttack MEMU: To be short-originated from Ichhapuram on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
- Train No. 58531 Brahmapur–Visakhapatnam Passenger: To be short-originated from Palasa on Wednesday, Sunday, Monday and Saturday.
- Train No. 58532 Visakhapatnam–Brahmapur Passenger: To be short-terminated at Palasa on Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday and Friday.
ECoR has requested passengers to take note of the changes while planning their journey and expressed regret for the inconvenience caused due to the modernisation works.
