Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has launched six special trains on Saturday and Sunday to ease the expected passenger surge during the upcoming festive season.
According to ECoR officials, these services will operate across key routes in Odisha and adjoining regions, offering extra seating capacity and smoother travel for festival‑goers.
- Train No. 02811 (Bhuabneswar-Yeswantpur) special, will leave from Bhubanewar at 7.15 pm on Saturday and reach Yeswantpur at midnight on Sunday.
- Train No. 02831 (Dhanbad-Bhubaneswar) special will leave from Dhanbad on October 18 and 19 at 4 pm and reach Bhubaneswar at 7.45 am the next day.
- Train No. 02832 (Bhubaneswar-Dhanbad) special will leave from Bhubaneswar at 8.25 pm on October 18 & 19 and reach Dhanbad at 11 am the next day.
- Train No. 08439 (Puri-Patna) special will leave from Puri at 2.55 pm on 18.10.2025 and reach Patna at 10.45 am on Sunday – 19.10.2025. In return direction, train No. 08440, (Patna-Puri) special will leave from Patna at 1.30 pm on 19.10.2025 and will reach Puri at 9.45 9.45 am on 20.10.2025.
- Train No. 08581, Visakhapatnam- SMVB (Bengaluru) special will leave from Visakhapatnam at 3.20 pm on 19.10.2025 (Sunday) and reach SMVB at 12.45 pm on 20.10.2025 (Monday).
- Train No. 08580 (Charlapalli-Visakhapatnam) special will leave from Charlapalli at 3.30 PM on Saturday i.e on 18.10.2025 and reach Visakhapatnam at 7 am on 19.10.2025.
These services aim to ease the rush of passengers during the upcoming festive season.
