**Bhubaneswar:** The Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials on Thursday kept on grilling aides of both self-styled godmen Sarathi Baba and Sura Baba in a bid to elicit vital information on the money trail, gifts, donations and other financial transactions in the names of their respective Ashrams in and out of the state.
Earlier on the day, Pilasky Swain, a close associate of Sarathi Baba alias Santosh Roul, was quizzed for hours together.
Pilasky Swain was earlier grilled by the ED on June 2 and had revealed to the media then that Sarathi Baba had given him Rs 20 lakh to manage the media after negative reports.
Sarathi Baba owns a majestic Ashram over sprawling land at Barimula village in Kendrapada district and allegedly led a lavish lifestyle including his alleged involvement in sexual escapades.
On Thursday too, Trahi Achyut Ashram’s head Sura Baba alias Surendranath Mishra’s son Biranchi Mishra was also interrogated by the ED for hours together.
Sources informed that Biranchi was grilled to ascertain the sources of income by the Ashram.
As per reports, Sura Baba allegedly owns landed property in Bihar, Kolkata (West Bengal) and Banaras (Uttar Pradesh). He allegedly possesses one acre of homestead plot in Banaras and a few acres of forest land.
Notably, the ED had on Wednesday interrogated Trahi Achyut Ashram’s accountant Manoranjan Acharya for nearly five hours.
Similarly, Sisir Khatua, another close aide of Sarathi, was also grilled on Wednesday by the ED.
Need to be mentioned, both Sarathi and Sura Baba are now cooling their heels behind the bars in the Choudwar Circle Jail and Jharpada Jail respectively.
