Puri: The employees of State-run energy utility Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) have pulled up their sleeves for restoration of power supply in Puri at the earliest.
All engineers of OPTCL, including Director Technical, Chief Engineers and Engineers, are engaged in Puri and trying to restore power supply at Puri sub-station within two days.
While low tension (LT) lines will be distributed from the sub-station to the households, the work in this regard in continuing simultaneously.
Reportedly, around 15 towers, including nine from Chandaka to Nimapara and six from Nimapara to Puri are under repair. Likewise, 18 towers on Khurda-Puri line are also under repair while the towers on Konark-Nimapara line are fine.
Meanwhile, around 800 to 1000 skilled labourers, including 400 from Andhra Pradesh, 150 from West Bengal and rest from different parts of the State, are camping in Bhubaneswar for the restoration of power supply there and hope to complete the work within two days.
