Balasore: A three-member team of West Bengal police’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) conducted a raid at Mahabag village under Kamarda police station limits in Odisha’s Balasore district in connection with the explosion at an illegal firecracker factory at Egra in East Midnapore district which claimed ten lives.
According to reports, the West Bengal CID raided the deceased prime accused Bhanu Bag’s relative’s residence in Mahabag village, and interrogated the relatives of the late prime accused. The CID was reportedly searching for Bhanu’s wife Geeta Bag today. The police also reportedly picked up a youth in this regard.
On Thursday, the West Bengal CID with the help of local police arrested prime accused Bhanu Bag, who died at a hospital in Cuttack on Friday. They also arrested his son Prithvijit Bag, and nephew Biswajit Bag.
