Eight Injured As Bus Overturns Near Balugaan In Khurdha

Bhubaneswar: In an unfortunate incident, a bus carrying around 50 passengers overturned on NH 16 near Paika Kusadiha chhak under Balugaan police station in Khurdha district on Saturday.

Fortunately, all passengers are safe, although eight sustained injuries and were admitted to Balugaan Community Health Centre. The injured passengers are now out of danger.

The bus, ‘Silk City’, was traveling from Bhubaneswar to Berhampur when the accident happened. According to reports, the bus skidded off the road while navigating a curve and overtaking another vehicle near Paika Kusadiha chhak.

Locals rescued the injured passengers and transported them to the health centre via ambulance. Police from the local Balugaan police station arrived at the scene to assess the situation.
