Cuttack: Elaborate police bandobast has been made for the inaugural ceremony of the FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 to be held at the Barabati Stadium here on Wednesday (Jan 11).
Briefing reporters here today Cuttack DCP Pinak Mishra said that 50 platoons of police force and 200 police officers will be deployed for the inaugural event of the FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 to be held at the Barabati Stadium.
Mishra said that security will be beefed up both inside and outside the stadium for the event. He informed that spectators will be barred from taking water bottles and food packets inside the stadium premises for security purposes.
Designated parking lots have been earmarked for parking of vehicles by the spectators, he added.
The DCP said that parking places for visitor vehicles to the event have been earmarked at places like lower Balijatra ground, Daya Ashram ground, Christian field, etc.
Visitors and guests have been informed on their tickets and invitations which route to be used which gate to be used for entry into the stadium and where to park their vehicles, the DCP added.
