Keonjhar: An elderly man drowned in Samakoi river at Betakholi village under Telkoi police limits in Keonjhar district on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Bhaskar Pradhan (60) of Betakholi village.
According to reports, Bhaskar had gone to Samakoi river to take a bath in the afternoon. While bathing he was swept away by the strong current in the river.
Fire Service personnel recovered Bhaskar’s body 3 KM downstream of the river in the presence of the police.
