Elderly Man Stoned To Death By Son-In-Law In Boudh

Boudh: An elderly person was stoned to death by his son-in-law over a family dispute at Palasagara village in Boudh district, on Thursday night.

The deceased has been identified as Beda Bagha (60).

According to sources, Mamudhana returned home in an inebriated state and had an altercation with father-in-law Beda Bagha. A furious Mamudhana attacked his father-in-law with stone which left the former injured severely.

He was rushed to Sonepur Hospital in critical condition. He, however, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

The accused Mamudhana is reported to have fled the scene after committing the crime.

Manamunda police have registered a case in connection and launched a manhunt for the accused.
