Bhubaneswar: Another person succumbed to COVID-19 in the State on Friday. According to the information shared by the Health Department, the casualty was a 73-year-old man of Ganjam District.
With this, the State’s COVID-19 toll rose to 9,118 while 511 persons have lost their lives to COVID in the last two and a half years.
The aforementioned person was having comorbidities like Hypertension, Chronic Kidney Disease and Upper Gastrointestinal bleeding, the Health Department informed.
Odisha reported 48 new cases of COVID on Saturday while 60 persons recovered from the disease on the same day. There are 419 active cases in the State as on March 27 (Sunday).
