Boudh: Tension prevailed at Champapur Square in Odisha’s Boudh district after an elderly woman was killed while two sustained grievous injuries in a road mishap on Tuesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Satyabhama Meher of Champapur.
According to reports, the driver of a speeding car lost balance on the wheel and hit an elderly man and subsequently rammed into a garage on Khurda-Bolangir State Highway No 57 near Chamapur Square in Boudh district on Tuesday morning.

According to reports, a car going from Boudh and towards Phulbani first hit an elderly woman killing her on the spot. Soon after, the car rammed into a garage and damaged seven. Eventually, the car fell into a 10-feet deep ditch.
The locals staged a road blockade by burning tyres demanding compensation to the deceased’s kin. Two people who were inside the car have been detained.
