Elderly Woman’s Body Found In Sundargarh, Murder Suspected

Sundargarh: A 65-year-old woman was found dead near a pond located between Gaudapada and Amalipali under Town police limits in Sundargarh district, with her head crushed by a stone.

The deceased has been identified Gurubari Majhi.

According to reports, Majhi was living at a rented house with Gopal Lakra, a local resident at Amalipali. She had left home around 5 pm on Wednesday to meet her nephew, but didn’t return. Locals spotted her roaming in the locality, apparently drunk, but she went missing afterwards.

Meanwhile, Town police have launched an investigation.

Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police (SP), Additional SP, and Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) visited the scene.
