Bhubaneswar: Electric vehicles will be deployed at Capital Hospital to ease the movemnet of patients on the premises. The decision was taken at the Rogi Kalyan Samiti meeting. Mayor Sulochana Das, local MLAs Ananta Narayan Jena, Susant Kumar Rout and Ashok Chandra Panda were present at the meeting which was presided by Lok Sabha Mayor Aparajita Sarangi.
At the annual general body meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti (Patient Welfare Committee), it was also decided to provide other facilities to the patients, especially women and children. It has been decided that the number of beds in the women and pediatric wards will be increased from 100 to 200, reports stated.
An ambulance with life-support (ALS) will be launched at the hosptial soon. Among others, Khurda Collector Sangram Keshari Mohapatra, senior officials, doctors and authorities of Capital Hospital were present.
