Elephant Attack Claims Youth’s Life In Keonjhar

Bhubaneswar: A young man died after being attacked by a rogue elephant at Telkoi in Keonjhar district in the wee hours of Tuesday.

The deceased youth has been identified as Chakradhara Maharana, a resident of Rugudiha village under Saleikana panchayat.

According to reports, a herd of 39 elephants has been causing trouble in the Barahadebatta police station area, damaging crops and posing a threat to local residents.

The victim was killed when a tusker attacked him near Baghmunda Sahi while he was trying to chase the elephants away from the paddy fields.
