Elephant Calf Carcass Found In Ganjam, Inquiry Initiated

Bhubaneswar: The carcass of an elephant calf was found near a paddy field at Belapara village under Pangidi panchayat in Polasara of Ganjam district. A forest department officials have arrived at the spot (in Buguda forest range) and carried out a preliminary inquiry. Under what circumstances the elephant calf died will be ascertained following an autopsy, a forest staff said.
