Dhenkanal: The carcass of an elephant calf was recovered near a pond in Kankili village under Muktapasi section in the Kamakhyanagar forest range of Dhenkanal district on Thursday.
The estimated age of the calf is about four years. It is suspected that it died during a clash between adult elephants. On getting information, forest officials reached the spot and are continuing further investigation.
