Keonjhar: A carcass of an elephant calf was recovered from Akula Nilapshi Sahi under Telkoi Forest Range under Bimala Forest Section in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Sunday.
The dead elephant calf is estimated to be around 4 years old.
Local villagers first spotted the carcass and informed the Forest department about the death of the elephant calf this morning. Forest department officials reached the spot and started an investigation. However, the reason behind the death of the elephant calf is yet to be ascertained.
