Sambalpur: The carcass of an elephant was recovered from Binjikhol village under Bamara forest division on Sunday.
Villagers informed that the elephant was not well for the past few days. It was facing difficulty in eating and drinking due to an injury to its neck.
On getting information, Range Officer of Kuchinda wildlife Range, Gagan Bihari Mallick visited the spot and recovered the carcass from the spot.
The reason behind the elephant’s death will be ascertained after receiving the post-mortem report, said Mallick.
