Dhenkanal: In yet another incident of man-animal conflict, an elephant died due to electrocution on Wednesday morning after coming in contact with a live wire laid to trap wild boars near Kantakula canal in Hindol forest division in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district.
Local villagers spotted the carcass of the elephant and informed the Forest Department about the incident. The staff of the Forest and State Electricity Department reached the spot, sent the carcass for autopsy, and launched an investigation into the incident.
