Dhenkanal: A wild elephant was found dead near Barihargudi village under the Hindol range in Dhenkanal district, on Monday.
According to reports, local villagers spotted the elephant’s body near a farm and immediately informed the forest department. A team of forest officials rushed to the scene and initiated an investigation into the cause of death.
While preliminary observations suggest that the elephant might have died due to electrocution, a thorough investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of death.
