Cuttack: The presence of an elephant herd on the National Highway 55 created panic among commuters at Kuspangi Dihasahi in Athagarh area of Cuttack on Thursday.
Forest personnel of Dalijoda Forest Range and Khuntini Forest Range are trying to disperse the elephants by using fire, crackers and siren.
Locals have also joined the forest personnel in the drive. However, people have questioned where will the elephants go if they are facing resistance from two opposite sides.
